Representative Responsibilities: • Manages existing product lines as assigned. Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to assure quality and reasonable delivery. • Monitors cost of production, profit margins, and sales revenue to optimize product pricing throughout the product lifecycle • Develops and recommends product line strategies based on market research data compiled by Market Manager and other staff. • Participate in product steering committees as assigned by marketing manager. Document new products • Creates marketing specifications for new products based on steering group guidelines • Serves as the customer champion on development teams on product development for new and existing products • Participates in the design and implementations of market research events supporting new product development (marketing specification stage, concept testing, beta testing) • Maintain awareness of competition and other market forces affecting the product line through effective networking and research. • Writes annual product plan for product line • Sets the objectives for and leads the content input and review of end-user and service documentation • Assists Market Managers in developing product line sales forecasts • Assists Market Manager and Advertising and Promotions Manager in identifying product positioning strategies that evolve with products as they move through their lifecycles in different regional markets • Identifies product training objectives to support their product lines and works with training staff to deliver training to sales representatives and dealers, factory personnel and others • Serves as source of in-depth product knowledge for regional sales force. Performs key product demonstrations when required. Visit key customers as required. Participate in trade show exhibitions including planning, setup and showcasing of products. Work on the ETC trade show stand to demonstrate products to customers. • Perform assigned tasks with minimal or no supervision. • Position includes regular travel (approximately 20%) • Performs other duties as assigned • Completes special projects and requests in a timely and positive fashion
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline • All levels of job-related experience in sales, marketing, technical services or projects or other relevant experience will be considered • Theatrical or architectural lighting or rigging experience required • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Able to ask insightful questions and listen • Effective public speaker • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Able to work in a team environment • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint • Able to use statistical analysis tools to forecast sales and analyze market research data (optional)
